AAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., and its wholly-owned subsidiary AAA Scholarship Foundation – FL, LLC (together, “AAA”), respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy.
This policy describes the types of information AAA collects from you, or that you may provide to AAA, when you visit AAA’s website www.aaascholarships.org (the “Site”) or in connection with AAA’s services, such as various tax credit scholarship programs and education savings account programs (the “Services”), and our practices for handling that information, including personally identifiable information. This policy supersedes AAA’s previous privacy policies.
Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using this Site or AAA’s Services, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Privacy Policy, below). Your continued use of this Site or of AAA’s Services after we make changes is deemed acceptance of those changes, so please check this policy periodically for updates.
Methods of Collection of Information
In connection with the Services and the Site, AAA may collect information in the following ways:
- Through offline forms filled out and submitted by a user
- Through forms filled out by a user on the Site
- Through the maintenance and analysis of web server logs
- Through the user’s interaction with other Sites and offline resources operated by AAA
- Via email, fax, and other communications with AAA
- From third parties providing support to AAA in connection with the Services

AAA may collect the following types of information (collective, “Information”) from or about an applicant to one of AAA’s programs, a potential or actual donor to one of AAA’s programs, or other users of the Site or Services:

- Email address
- Telephone or cell phone number
- Facsimile number
- Date of birth or age
- Social security number
- Employer or company information, including name, address, email address, telephone number, employer identification number, and a contact name and that person’s phone number and email address
- Marital status
- Income
- Debts
- Tax-related information
- School information
- Race
- Gender
- Internet protocol (IP) address
- Referring sites
- Other technical information collected by the Sites’ servers
- Any other identifier that permits the physical or online contacting of a specific individual
- Any other information you provide
No Collection of Information from Children Under 13
The Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to or on the Site. AAA does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Site or on or through any of its features. Use of Information
AAA may use Information:

- To operate the Site and improve the user experience with the Site
- For users to obtain information and offers for other products and services offered by AAA and its affiliated entities as well as selected third parties
- To carry out any legal or contractual obligations or rights of AAA

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
AAA may disclose the information to its subsidiaries, affiliated entities, and other third parties, including but not limited to governmental agencies, educational institutions, third-party marketers, and vendors, service providers, and other contractors AAA may use to support its operations, including without limitation for operation of the Site, application processing, communication services, fundraising activities, and payment processing services. AAA also may disclose information for any other purpose for which it was provided, any purpose disclosed by AAA when the Information was provided, or otherwise with your permission.
AAA may disclose Information to comply with any applicable law, regulation, court order, government or regulatory request, legal process, or legal obligation, such as a subpoena or civil investigative demand; to exercise AAA’s contractual or other legal rights; in connection with a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of AAA’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by AAA about Site users is among the assets transferred; or to protect the interests or safety of AAA, its customers, or other parties.
Security of Information
AAA maintains electronic and physical security measures to reduce the risk of improper access to or manipulation of Information during transmission and storage. However, the transmission or storage of information over the internet is not completely secure, so AAA cannot guarantee the security or integrity of the Information and shall have no liability for breaches of security or integrity or third-party interception in transit.
The safety and security of your information also depend on you, and you should take precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access. For example, where you have a username and password to access certain parts of the Site, you are responsible for keeping that information confidential and should refrain from sharing it with others.
Opting Out of Offers from AAA
A user may opt-out of receiving future marketing communications from AAA by following the instructions within each marketing communication, by emailing AAA at info@aaascholarships.org, or mailing the request to AAA, PO Box 15719, Tampa, FL 33684-5719. Such opting out will not apply to communications from other parties, such as AAA’s affiliated entities or from third parties to whom AAA or its affiliated entities may have provided Information regarding the user. Such affiliates’ and third parties’ use of the Information is subject to such other parties’ own privacy policies, for which AAA shall not be responsible.
Access to Information
A user who provides Information to AAA may review and request changes to such Information via a written request to AAA, PO Box 15719, Tampa, FL 33684-5719. We may not accommodate a request to review or change Information if we believe accommodating the request would violate any law or legal requirement, infringe on any legal rights of AAA, cause the Information to be incorrect, if we suspect fraud, if we are unable to verify your authority to access the Information, or otherwise in our discretion.
Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 may permit California residents who use the Site to request certain information regarding AAA’s disclosure of personal information to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Nevada Consumers
Nevada law gives Nevada consumers the right to request that a company that operates a website for commercial purposes not sell their personal information for monetary consideration to another party for the other party to license or sell the information to additional parties. This right may apply even if personal information is not currently being sold.
AAA does not sell personal information and does not operate the Site for commercial purposes. However, if you are a Nevada consumer who wishes to exercise a right to request AAA not sell your personal information, please submit your request by emailing info@aaascholarships.org. AAA reserves the right to take reasonable measures to verify the authenticity of the request and the identity of the consumer making the request.
Florida Residents
AAA collects the social security numbers of Florida residents who apply for one of AAA’s scholarship programs in Florida. Do-Not-Track Requests
Regarding Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) requests, because there is no industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT requests, AAA does not respond to them at this time.
Changes to Privacy Policy
AAA may revise and update this privacy policy at any time. Any such revisions will be effective on the date of posting to the Site, and that effective date is stated at the top of this page. Revisions to this Privacy Policy will apply to all information collected by AAA both prior to and following the effective date. Your use of the Site, or your providing Information to AAA, after any such revisions, will be deemed your acceptance of such revisions.
